Lavender Microfinance Bank was formerly Lafenwa Community Bank. It was established and commenced operation in 1995 at 14, Lagos Road, Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Ogun State. It was established purposely to provide financial services to the people at the grass root, that is the unbanked and the under-banked segment of the society, to scale them up economically above the poverty level, which is One Dollar purchasing power parity.

Location Overview
The bank is located at 14, Lagos Road, Lafenwa, Abeokuta where the largest market in Ogun is situated. It has a cluster of micro, small and medium enterprises which engages in trading, agro-allied and manufacturing of goods. The area is densely populated and government institutions and facilities are adequately provided to serve the basic health and infrastructural needs of the community.
History of the Bank
Lavender Microfinance Bank formerly Lafenwa Community Bank was established and commenced operation in 1995. It was transformed to Microfinance Bank in the year 2008 due to the policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria to get rid of poverty.
